Reporter sought for sister agency CCC

The Dock

Applications are invited for the position of Court Reporter with CCC. Nuacht, one of Ireland’s biggest national court reporting agencies. For over two decades CCC.Nuacht has been the trusted source of accurate court reportage for national media, including RTE, the Irish Times and the Irish Independent.

Our reporters regularly break stories and were the first to report on the decision by child rape victim Fiona Doyle to go public and on the infamous “garlic man” sentencing, amongst many other agenda setting stories. Our team of award winning reporters covered every day of every criminal trial arising out of the banking crisis and the collapse of Anglo Irish Bank.

In the last number of years the company has also provided reports to the Courts News Ireland website.

The role of court reporter requires an ability to understand often complex legal cases and to accurately and efficiently provide reports of a high quality under tight deadlines and other pressures. The job will often involve reporting on crimes of a highly sensitive and distressing nature.

Applicants for this position should have an established track record in reporting, ideally for national press. Experience of court reporting is an advantage.

Applicants will demonstrate a high degree of personal initiative and good judgement. The capacity to work both independently and as part of a team and to work with the various elements of the criminal justice system is essential.

The salary for this full time position will be at entry level for the company. The successful applicant will be subject to a six month probationary period.
