A 33 year old man has gone on trial accused of murdering his former partner and mother of their two children.
Vesel Jahiri, of Louth Village, Dundalk but originally from Kosovo, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Anna Finnegan at Allendale Glen, Clonsilla, Dublin 15 on September 21 2012.
He has also pleaded not guilty to assault causing harm on Anna Finnegan’s brother, Karl, on the same date.

A Dublin man will be sentenced next Monday for the attempted murder of a man in August 2013.
Thomas Ryan (32) of McKee Park in Dublin has pleaded guilty to shooting Patrick Charles O’Neill (51) on Glasnevin Avenue in Ballymun.
Gerardine Small SC, prosecuting confirmed with a member of the gardai that Ryan had shot at Charles O’Neill.
“On 26 August 2013 at Glasnevin Avenue in Ballymun, Charlie O Neill was cycling with his friend when he noticed a man pulling at his trousers and a shot went off,” she said.

A witness in the trial of a man accused of murdering 29-year-old Shane Rossiter has told the court that he felt like he was being “set up” by the deceased.
Maurice Power (31) of Dranganbeg, Kilmoyler, Cahir has pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court to murdering Mr Rossiter in Co. Tipperary on October 17, 2012.
The prosecution alleges the accused fired two shots at Mr Rossiter causing him catastrophic injuries, which lead to his death.

A 31-year-old Dublin man has gone on trial, charged with murdering his elderly father by stabbing him with a 100-year-old bayonet, a family heirloom from World War 1.
Edward Boylan Jnr of no fixed abode has admitted stabbing the 74-year-old and causing his death. However, he has pleaded not guilty to his murder on January 6th or 7th at Ravensdale Close, Crumlin.

Brothers who were abusive while celebrating birth ordered to make donation
FOUR BROTHERS, who were intoxicated and abusive to security staff at a Swords bar while celebrating the birth of one of the men’s baby, have been ordered to come up with €800 as a charitable donation to avoid a conviction.

The murder trial of two Limerick men has been adjourned due to the death of the mother of one of the accused, who will attend part of her funeral under prison service escort.
Nathan Killeen (23) is on trial at the Special Criminal Court along with Wayne Dundon (35), charged with murdering businessman Roy Collins in the city five years ago.
