Who we are
Courts News Ireland is an online service provided by Ireland International News Agency (IINA) and CCC Nuacht, Ireland’s leading court reporting agencies.
CNI provides a unique service based on the entrenched reputation of both agencies for accuracy and excellence in reportage. Our team of trusted, experienced journalists file daily copy on the proceedings and court judgements of the Irish Central Criminal Court, the Special Criminal Court, the Court of Appeal, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, the High Court and the Workplace Relations Commission. As well as being contracted by Ireland’s media elite, we also supply copy to international agencies and a host of local newspapers and radio stations.
What we offer
Courts News Ireland is the first and only dedicated source for courts news in Ireland.
After 25 years of providing courts news to the press for publication, in 2014 we took the bold step of creating an online courts news service for all. With Court News Ireland, subscription account holders gain access to court reports as they are filed in real time, as well as an extensive archive of courts coverage stretching back over 10 years. Whether you are a legal or media professional, or whether you just need to keep informed, our courts news service is a must.
With an individual or group subscription to Courts News Ireland, you’ll get priority access to all of the day’s top stories from the centre of the Irish judicial system, including cases that don’t make it to the national news agenda.
You’ll get real-time access to the day’s leading courts news stories and full, in-depth reports on criminal cases and court judgements by seasoned, professional reporters.
Courts News Ireland is updated with reports from the top cases heard before the Central Criminal Court, the Special Criminal Court, the Court of Appeal, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, the Workplace Relations Commission as well as select High Court and Extradition proceedings. You’ll see the first two paragraphs of these stories on our Court News Ireland Home Page.
Although we are adding new content all of the time, at the moment we do not cover civil court cases, most of the proceedings of the High Court, District Courts or courts sitting outside of Dublin.
The dates of the law terms for Irish courts vary from year to year, but typically run from October to July. See www.courts.ie for details on terms and sittings. To subscribe to a priority account, where you can read the stories in full, click subscribe and select the “Priority Account” option.
If you represent a company or institution interested in subscribing to Courts News Ireland, please contact enquiries@courtsnewsireland.ie for more information about Group Subscriptions.
